BEN EVERITT TAKES PART IN HADLEIGH HARDCORE TO RAISE MONEY FOR HAVENS HOSPICES CHARITY

On 22nd November 2015, Ben Everitt who works for local company De-ice Gritting & Snow Clearance, will be braving the gruelling Hadleigh Hardcore – which includes a 5km cross country run over the Olympic Mountain Bike course, a 10km mountain bike ride and finishes off with a military style assault course – all to raise money for the worthwhile charity, Havens Hospices.

Two hundred people will be taking part in the Hadleigh Hardcore at Hadleigh Country Park in which they will complete a challenging triathlon. The run will be held on the Mountain Bike Course with undulating hills and scrambles to negotiate, a fun but difficult route.

The bike ride will be held off road on the Hadleigh Downs with fantastic views of the pretty Kent country side over the Thames. This will be an accessible route with some steep but short hills.

The last element of the challenge will be a military style assault course with wall climbs, barb wire crawls, monkey bars and will push competitors to their limits.

Ben Everitt, Account Executive for local business, De-Ice (www.de-ice.co.uk), one of the UK’s longest-established and leading winter gritting and snow clearance specialists will be one of the 200 brave people taking part in this gruelling challenge.

Ben comments: “I know this is going to be a tough challenge. I’m doing my training and am looking forward to the day. I’m taking part in this event to raise money for De-Ice’s chosen charity, Haven Hospices. It is widely known and recognized for its amazing efforts in bringing care and comfort to children, adults and families of those whose lives are cut short for any number of reasons. The difficulty of the course is what makes this such a fantastic challenge to take part in whilst supporting the vital care of Havens Hospices.”

Havens Hospices (www.havenshospices.org.uk ) – which incorporates Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Hospice – provides care for those with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. As a charity, it is wholly dedicated to looking after those with an illness which could shorten their life.
