COVID-19 AND HOT WEATHER… WE REMAIN ‘OPEN FOR BUSINESS’

These are hugely uncertain times, and many businesses are facing unprecedented challenges. Covid-19 is beyond anything any of us could have expected, but our team is used to expecting the unexpected in order to prepare and tackle treacherous winter weather year after year. We have utilised our range of skills to continue our work in preparing clients for winter during – even these difficult times.

Whilst snow and ice might be far from most of our minds right now, at De-ice we are actively preparing for the winter ahead. As one of the UK’s longest-established and leading winter gritting and snow clearance specialists – even in the midst of all the recent beautiful weather – we always remain open and focused on protecting our clients from winter weather. Whilst many of our customers’ sites have shut down over the past few months there is still work to be done preparing for safe opening during the winter that lies ahead.

In order to ensure our clients’ sites remain safe and operational when exposed to harsh weather we have to continue planning during spring, summer and autumn. It is imperative for the successful running of any business in adverse conditions that we work with businesses to prepare ahead of time. Our bespoke services are focused on partnership, and as such, we communicate with our customers throughout the year to gain a full understanding of their unique and potentially evolving site needs. 

We also spend these warmer months planning and training regional teams before freezing temperatures hit. 

We never take our eye off the ball as we know that winter will be here before we know it. Hot weather and Covid-19 will not hold us back. As a company we have put in place the necessary safeguards to continue our operations within the current guidelines.  We will continue to educate, review and revise any processes necessary for the safety of our staff, clients and operatives. 

I will continue to lead and support the team through these difficult times, and I would like to extend my thanks to them for their amazing work and resilience.
