De-Ice, one of the UK’s longest-established and leading winter gritting and snow clearance specialists will be exhibiting at this year’s Facilities Show, 16-18th June at ExCel London (stand M1300) and, the company is – again – sponsoring the main bar and networking area.
As it plays host to hundreds of FMs over the three-day event, De-ice will be sending out a clear message to FMs that “now is the time to plan ahead for the winter to come so not to be caught out in the cold.”
Vicky Lopez, co-founder and director at De-ice, commented: “With reports of El Nino bringing bitter winter conditions in 2015-16 it is vital FM’s have a robust winter maintenance plan in place. If these reports are correct then conditions are set to hit records similar to those of the ‘Big Freeze’ of 2010-11. FMs need to act now and ensure they have all the necessary measures in place”.
“We spend the spring and summer months putting plans for winter into action. The milder winters of 2013-14 and 2014-15 may have been a distraction for many, but what people need to remember is that no two winters are ever the same.
“Whatever the winter has in store for the UK this year, we have contingencies in place. As a business we continue to work closely with all our customers (both existing and new), salt, machinery and equipment suppliers to make sure that – together – we enter every winter season well prepared to meet the challenges we may face. This year will be no exception.”
De-ice will be sponsoring the FM show bar area – The De-ice Bar, where there will be a networking area and VIP lounge. The bar will provide plenty of seating, an excellent venue for meetings, coffee and lunch. The bar will include a ski game, where visitors can navigate the game’s expansive terrain, and compete to be top of the leader board.
